Phiip Navin

Hi, I’m Phillip and I’ve been working with content and communications at Statkraft since 2024. Before joining the corporate world, I worked in the film and TV industry, and I still draw on that experience when looking for creative ways to tell engaging stories.

If I’m lucky, my alarm wakes me before my kid does, and I can start the day with coffee and some industry news. More often, it’s a whirlwind morning before daycare drop-off and a bus ride to the office, where I catch up on Teams and listen to a podcast.

On Mondays, I start with what I call “reading the news” – catching up on internal updates, recent podcasts, and company reports. It helps me stay connected to what’s happening in the business and spot potential stories to develop with the content team.

I work closely with external communications and social media, often jumping into messaging around media activity or planned news. After an early (and very appreciated) lunch, I try to carve out dedicated production time. That might be scripting, editing videos, creating visual assets, or writing stories. I block this time in my calendar so I can stay focused and creative.

We have regular check-ins in the content team to share insights and collaborate across departments. It’s a creative and motivated group, and we’re constantly exploring how to communicate Statkraft’s work on sustainability, value creation, and renewable energy in a way that’s transparent, trustworthy, and human. Sometimes facts aren’t enough. You need to make people think, feel, or even laugh. A good laugh might even land better than a long report.
